From November 18 to 19, representatives of INTERA Technology Park participated in a two-day meeting within the RTIT>> project, which was held in Sofia and organized by the Bulgarian partners The Applied Research and Communications Fund (ARC Fund) and Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” – Faculty of Economics and Business Administration. This project meeting brought together consortium representatives with the aim of analyzing completed activities, exchanging experiences, and aligning future steps related to knowledge transfer and strengthening innovation capacities, with a particular focus on the field of materials.
The program included partner presentations, discussions on the progress of pilot actions, and interactive workshops focused on evaluating tools and methods that proved successful in knowledge transfer. Special emphasis was placed on involving small and medium-sized enterprises, as well as experts in the field of materials, in knowledge transfer and innovation activities through pilot actions, with the aim of ensuring a long-term effective and sustainable model of cooperation between the research and business sectors.
On the first day, a creative workshop was held dedicated to presenting upcoming project calls and generating ideas for possible continuations and upgrades of existing activities. Participants exchanged experiences and examples of good practices from partner countries, which can serve as a solid foundation for further cooperation.
On the second day, participants visited the interactive children’s museum Muzeiko, where a workshop was held to evaluate the tools used in the previous transfer of knowledge in the field of materials. Afterwards, the participants toured the Technology Park in Sofia, which represents one of the key innovation centers in Bulgaria. The park is equipped with 11 specialized laboratories, infrastructure to support startups, and a supercomputer that enables a high level of research and the development of advanced technological solutions.
The meeting in Sofia confirmed the commitment of the RTIT>> consortium to strengthening the innovation ecosystem, improving knowledge transfer, and fostering international cooperation in the field of materials and technologies. This event not only reinforced partnerships but also resulted in new ideas, networking opportunities, and clear guidelines for further activities that will contribute to the development of the know-how community in Bosnia and Herzegovina and beyond.
The project is co-financed by the European Union through the Interreg Danube Region Programme.
