
A delegation led by Jens Elsner, director of the program “Sustainable Economic Development and Promotion of Employment in Bosnia and Herzegovina” (SEDEP), visited INTERA Technology Park yesterday, November 6 – a long-term partner of GIZ in the development of projects that support innovation and digital transformation. In addition to GIZ representatives, the delegation also included guests from other German institutions, including KfW Development Bank and the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), as well as representatives of the academic community and business.
The guests had the opportunity to tour the INTERA TP premises, including the iLab, Alfa Therm and the Game Development Center, getting to know the previous activities and examples of good practice. A special focus of the visit was the BOOST project, which presented the cooperation between the academic community and the economy and the importance of innovation in the development of the business environment.
During the meeting, attendees had the opportunity to talk to guests who participated in the first BOOST project as business service providers and users of the same through the Innovation Voucher Scheme, sharing their experiences and examples of good practice.
The results of BOOST and plans for BOOST2 were discussed, with a special emphasis on the wider application of the Innovation Voucher Scheme as a solution that stimulates the development of innovation and digital solutions in the economy.
This visit highlighted the importance of connecting academia, researchers and the economy in the development of innovative solutions that can contribute to a sustainable and competitive business environment.
