A Dynamic Year of Projects, Education, and New Ideas

The end of the year is the perfect moment to reflect on all the activities that marked our work in 2025. INTERA Technology Park once again served as a hub for numerous training programs, events, projects, and initiatives that strengthened the local innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem.

Projects and Events

In 2025, we continued implementing the CODES project, further strengthening the capacities of our services – iLab, Code Hub, and the business incubator. The iLab facilities were significantly improved through the procurement of a new CNC machine, as well as through training programs for staff and both current and potential users. Code Hub was equipped with new technology, and the community benefited from knowledge exchange through three meetups featuring prominent regional IT experts.

We would especially highlight the organization of a bootcamp for 24 startups from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, and Montenegro, as well as mentoring support for two startup teams from Bosnia and Herzegovina, who will present their ideas in spring 2026 at the largest regional startup conference – PODIM in Maribor.

Through the CBC GAIN project, the first Game Development Center was opened in our facility. The center provides free access to equipment for video game development, as well as free training programs in tools for the gaming industry, including Blender and Unity. The level of interest in these trainings was high, enabling young people to gain practical skills needed to enter the game development industry. As part of the project, the #GameDev Hackathon 2025 was also held in Montenegro, gathering 16 teams from the region. We are especially proud that the team representing INTERA TP won first place, confirming the quality and dedication of young professionals.

The CODES and CBC GAIN projects are supported through the Interreg VI-A IPA Programme Croatia–Bosnia and Herzegovina–Montenegro 2021–2027 and co-financed by the Federal Ministry of Development, Entrepreneurship and Crafts through the program “Enhancement of Institutional Entrepreneurial Infrastructure.”

In 2025, we continued our mentoring role through the CapTTict project, providing support to startups within the DDA program. During the year, 29 startups from the Danube region participated in DDA, with INTERA actively mentoring selected teams. Additionally, we developed an action plan for the S3 strategy for four non-EU participating countries (Ukraine, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Serbia), contributing to strengthening capacities for technology and innovation transfer. The plan has been officially finalized, while its practical implementation will continue until the end of the project.

Within the Knowhow Communities for Accelerating RTI Transfer in the Danube Region / RTIT>> project, we launched a public call aimed at strengthening the innovation potential of SMEs in the field of materials and material technologies. Pilot actions are currently underway, testing tools and approaches to accelerate the transfer of research, technology, and innovation. The RTIT>> and CapTTict projects are supported by the Danube Region Transnational Programme 2021–2027, co-financed by the European Union.

In 2025, we launched the STAR project, aimed at contributing to sustainable tourism development in cross-border areas by creating conditions for attracting digital nomads. We strengthened the capacities of tourism operators, and successfully organized the 5th edition of the Cross Border Coworking Conference (CBCC) 2025 in Montenegro, gathering around 170 participants from across Europe and beyond. The project is co-financed by the European Union through the IPA III CBC Bosnia and Herzegovina–Montenegro Programme 2021–2027.

During 2025, INTERA Technology Park actively participated in the implementation of the ADRURAL project, focused on supporting rural communities. We continued working on the digitalization of rural areas through needs mapping, field activities, and the preparation of pilot solutions to be tested in the next phase of the project, directly addressing the challenges faced by rural communities. The project is co-financed by the European Union through the Interreg IPA Adriatic-Ionian Transnational Cooperation Programme 2021–2027.

At the same time, two ERASMUS+ projects significantly contributed to youth empowerment. Through the Leaders for Future project, INTERA strengthened its internal capacities to support women entrepreneurs. Meanwhile, the Web3 Innovation Hub project enabled active engagement in bringing Web3 and blockchain technologies closer to young people through various hackathons and educational workshops.

In cooperation with the Federal Ministry of Education and Science, we continuously organized a series of important events and publications. This year, we organized the scientific-professional conference “Digitalization in the Green Economy,” promoting digital solutions and innovation in the context of sustainable development. Additionally, the conference “Strategy for the Use of Research Resources in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the Function of Development” was held on December 16, 2025, marking Science Day, with the aim of strengthening cooperation between academia, industry, and institutions. During the conference, the proceedings “Digitalization in the Green Economy” were also presented. This continuity of activities demonstrates our commitment to advancing research, innovation, and digital transformation in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

In 2025, we also launched the BOOST2 project, which fosters innovation and strengthens the competitiveness of SMEs. Through innovation vouchers, companies gain access to expert services to improve products, processes, and operations, while service providers apply their knowledge in practice and expand cooperation with the business sector. The project has already attracted significant interest in its first months, with the Innovation Voucher Scheme highlighting the strong connection between researchers and businesses, enabling the application of innovative solutions and strengthening the market resilience of SMEs.

Hosting Events that Connect

Throughout the year, INTERA Technology Park hosted numerous significant events that further enriched our community and created opportunities for knowledge exchange, ideas, and innovation. These included BEST Hackathon 2025, the MindTech Hackathon organized by Sensus, and the SPARK Project by the British Council, all dedicated to fostering innovation, creativity, and collaboration among students.

We also hosted the final conference of the YourJob program organized by Caritas, the Business Skill Academy implemented by AIESEC, and BiHSEF, a scientific competition for high school students in Bosnia and Herzegovina organized by UWC. These events once again confirmed the role of INTERA Technology Park as a meeting point for young talents, educational initiatives, and organizations actively contributing to the development of knowledge, skills, and the innovation ecosystem.

Education that Opens Doors to the Future

During 2025, a total of 130 participants attended training programs at INTERA Technology Park, representing an increase of more than 25% compared to the previous year. This continuous growth in interest confirms the need for high-quality, practical, and market-relevant professional development programs.

In cooperation with the City of Mostar, subsidies were provided through the LAPZ program, with more than 50 participants receiving support covering 60% to 80% of the training costs. This significantly improved access to education and professional development, especially for those at the beginning of their careers or undergoing career transitions.

During the year, two new training programs were introduced – Freelancing and Autodesk 3ds Max – further expanding the portfolio of licensed Autodesk trainings. INTERA Technology Park now offers three licensed Autodesk programs: AutoCAD, Revit, and 3ds Max, responding to the needs of the modern labor market.

Training quality is continuously monitored through participant satisfaction surveys, with results showing an exceptionally high level of satisfaction – an average rating of 9.6 out of 10. In 2025, a total of nine training programs were delivered, involving 15 expert instructors to ensure the highest level of quality and practical value for participants.

Gratitude to Partners and Participants

None of our achievements would have been possible without the support of donors, partners, collaborators, and all users of our projects. Thank you for being part of our story and for working together with us to create a better future.

Looking Ahead

As we close another successful year, we are proud of everything we have accomplished together and grateful to everyone who contributed to our activities. In 2026, we will continue building new projects, expanding educational programs, strengthening collaborations, and contributing to the development of the local innovation ecosystem.

Once again, thank you to our users, partners, and friends for your trust and shared journey. We wish you happy holidays, a fulfilling end of the year, and much success in the year ahead.
