To leverage the potential of digital nomads for the development of sustainable tourism, the City of Čapljina and INTERA Technology Park have joined forces to establish coworking spaces in Čapljina.
At a meeting with the Mayor of Čapljina, representatives of INTERA Technology Park presented an initiative to create modern workspaces designed for freelancers, entrepreneurs, and digital nomads, who are increasingly traveling through Herzegovina in search of inspiring remote work locations.
It was agreed that, in the initial phase, INTERA Technology Park will provide expert and technical support in establishing the coworking space. After that, the City of Čapljina will take over the management and maintenance independently, ensuring long-term sustainability and benefits for the local community.
The mayor expressed the City of Čapljina’s willingness to support this initiative, recognizing its potential to attract international visitors and foster local entrepreneurship. The collaboration includes identifying needs, selecting a location, and conducting promotional activities aimed at positioning Čapljina as an attractive destination for remote work.
This initiative is part of a broader plan for the development of sustainable tourism in Herzegovina, based on encouraging the arrival of digital nomads, developing local infrastructure, and connecting with international remote work trends.
Through this collaboration, INTERA Technology Park continues to expand its support network for digital workers and promote the development of innovative and sustainable infrastructure in the region.
