INTERA Technology Park proudly announces that Mostar will, for the first time, host the Global Game Jam (GGJ) – the world’s largest video game development event, held simultaneously in more than one hundred countries. From January 31 to February 1, 2026, our premises will become a hub of creativity, technology, and innovation, bringing together programmers, artists, designers, and all enthusiasts eager to create new digital experiences.
WHAT IS GLOBAL GAME JAM?
Global Game Jam is an international 48-hour challenge during which participants create entirely new video games inspired by a global theme announced at the start of the event. GGJ is known as a place where careers begin, with many of today’s professionals and studios having been formed thanks to the encounters and experiences gained at game jams.
No prior knowledge is required to participate; it is enough to have a desire to learn, creativity, and readiness for teamwork. GGJ Mostar is a unique opportunity to enter the world of the gaming industry, whether you come from programming, design, art, or another creative discipline.
GGJ MOSTAR – A NEW STEP FOR THE LOCAL COMMUNITY
By launching the first Global Game Jam location in Bosnia and Herzegovina, INTERA Technology Park is opening the door to the development of a new community of digital creators. The event represents an important step for Mostar and the region, as it offers young and talented people a platform for networking, testing ideas, collaborating, and entering the fast-growing video game industry.
During the two-day competition, participants can expect inspiring teams, mentoring support, and a fully equipped space for creative work, all within an atmosphere that encourages innovation and mutual learning.
HOW TO PARTICIPATE?
Registrations for participants open on December 1, 2025, and all interested individuals can apply through the official Global Game Jam website – GGJ26 Mostar | Global Game Jam.
For information, support, and communication with the organizers, an official Discord server is available, where the complete event schedule will be published.
