Preparatory Workshops for the Development of Circular Business Models for SMEs in Bosnia and Herzegovina

As part of the activity “Technical Support for Advancing the Circular Economy in the Private Sector in Bosnia and Herzegovina,” a series of preparatory workshops is being organized for micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The aim of the workshops is to support the development of project ideas and preparation for the upcoming public call for circular business model development.

The workshops are organized in cooperation with the Foreign Trade Chamber of Bosnia and Herzegovina (VTK/STK BiH), with consulting support from the company nLogic. The focus is on practical work and the development of concrete solutions that will help businesses transition to more sustainable and efficient operations.

What can you expect?
Through an interactive approach, participants will have the opportunity to:

• understand the principles of the circular economy in a business context
• identify opportunities to improve resource and energy efficiency
• develop concrete project ideas
• prepare high-quality applications for the upcoming public call

The public call for the allocation of financial support for the implementation of circular solutions is expected in April 2026.

The workshops will be held in the following cities:

• Banja Luka – March 23, 2026
• Mostar – March 27, 2026
• Sarajevo – March 31, 2026
• Zenica – April 1, 2026
• Tuzla – April 6, 2026

Participation in the workshops is free of charge, but the number of places is limited.
Interested companies can apply via the application form available at the provided link, in accordance with the deadlines for each location.

The workshops are implemented within the framework of the EU initiative for private sector development in Bosnia and Herzegovina (EU4PSD), co-funded by the European Union and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), and implemented by GIZ in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The initiative is part of a broader program of the Government of Germany aimed at supporting sustainable economic development and promoting employment in Bosnia and Herzegovina (SEDEP).
