Short description
The issue that INTERA TP dealt with in the framework of this project is unemployment among women in the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton on the one hand, and the lack of a workforce with specific skills, not only locally but also internationally. The goal of the project was to contribute to the economic empowerment of women in Bosnia and Herzegovina by introducing them to the opportunities for employment in those skills that are in demand on the labour market, which include digital marketing, UI/UX design and professional photography, the development of these skills and connecting with experienced colleagues and successful local businesses.
This one-year project included the implementation of a digital campaign on employment opportunities in the mentioned fields, telling the successful stories of BiH women and girls engaged in the mentioned professions. Through several-day courses, more than 50 young women were given the opportunity to acquire initial knowledge and develop skills necessary for the careers of professional photographers, UI/UX designers and digital marketing specialists. Finally, at networking events, over 100 young women had the opportunity to hear inspiring stories from some of the most successful women in these fields, as well as the opportunity to meet local employers and learn first-hand how to be as competitive as possible when looking for a job.
