From May 28th to 29th, 2024, a study visit to Nuremberg was held as part of the RTIT >> project, with representatives from INTERA TP participating. Thirteen project partners from eight countries gathered to exchange ideas on the transfer of knowledge, technologies, and innovations with a focus on materials and material technology.
In addition to information on transfer in Bavaria, cross-clustering, and innovation strategy, the hosts from Bayern Innovativ presented several projects with examples of best practices from Bavaria in the thematic area of building knowledge communities and fostering innovation, as well as a set of effective tools for RTI transfer and creative methods in idea-generation workshops.
During the event, representatives from the materials and manufacturing department of Bayern Innovativ conducted an interactive workshop on innovations in the textile industry. Additionally, another creative workshop was held on the topic of discovering design management and “From Idea to Business Model.” The hosts also shared successful stories about the application of recycled materials.
The event provided an opportunity for partners to summarize results, deadlines, and the internal contributions of organizations. Partners reviewed a report on policy mapping activities and the identification of gaps and opportunities.
Furthermore, the next steps, roles, and responsibilities in implementing project activities were planned.
The study trip included a visit to the Institute for Chemistry, Materials, and Product Development (OHM-CMP) at the Technical University of Nuremberg Georg Simon Ohm, during which participants had the opportunity to experience the production of various materials in a modernly equipped laboratory.
The project’s goal is to support small and medium-sized enterprises in the materials sector over the next two years with the help of knowledge communities in the Danube region. This region plays a key role in material production.
The project is co-financed by the European Union funds through the Interreg Danube Region Program.
