A five-day workshop on 3D modeling and printing with AI assistance was successfully held in the iLab of the INTERA Technology Park, which brought together students of technical faculties, experts from the product development department and enthusiasts interested in advanced technologies. The great interest of the participants confirmed the growing need for practical knowledge in the field of digital design, 3D modeling and the application of artificial intelligence in the product development process.
During the workshop, participants went through the entire process from the development of the initial idea, through concept design and creation of a digital model, all the way to 3D printing of a functional prototype through multidisciplinary teamwork. The program was led by Adis Muminović from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Sarajevo and Tonči Validžić, sales engineer from IZIT d.o.o., who shared their experiences from the industry with the participants and offered practical guidelines for working with modern technologies.
At the workshop, the teams developed their own solutions, and on the last day they presented the created 3D models and prototypes to an expert committee. The exhibited works demonstrated the creativity of the participants, but also the wide possibilities of using 3D printing in industry, education and everyday applications. The best works will be exhibited at the INTERA iLab stand at the PIT Adria Summit in Sarajevo.
As an additional motivation and reward for engagement, all participants received invitations to the PIT Adria Summit in Sarajevo, the largest regional event dedicated to production. There they will have the opportunity to connect with industry representatives from the entire Adriatic region and international experts from Germany, Austria, Japan, the USA and other countries.
This activity is implemented within the framework of the CODES project, which is co-financed by the EU through the Interreg VI-A IPA Program Croatia – BiH – Montenegro 2021-2027, and is implemented by the INTERA Technology Park from Mostar, the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center Tehnopolis from Nikšić, the BIT Center Tuzla, the City of Zadar and the University of Zadar.
