The Game Development Center at INTERA Technology Park welcomed numerous visitors during its Open Day, offering them a glimpse into the world of video game development, showcasing top-tier equipment, and presenting future activities through the CBC GAIN project.
Visitors tested equipment
During the event, visitors had the opportunity to try out VR gear, witness a demonstration of a Motion Capture suit used for real-time movement recording, and explore a professional sound studio designed for audio recording and editing for games and other digital content. Alongside engaging technical presentations, the Open Day also served as a chance to network, exchange ideas, and spark inspiration for individual projects.
A project that creates opportunities for youth
During the event, the CBC GAIN project was presented, through which the Game Development Center was established. Upcoming activities were also introduced, including:
A focus on providing opportunities for youth to learn, create, and build careers in a rapidly growing industry
“This center is not just a space, but a platform for talent development, content creation, and industry connection. Through it, we aim to equip young people with concrete tools and knowledge so they can stay in the region and build their careers right here,” emphasized Vedran Šimunović, Director of INTERA Technology Park.
Next steps
The Game Development Center is open to anyone who wants to learn, create, and develop ideas — completely free of charge.
An expansion of the partner network has been announced, along with program enhancements and efforts toward the long-term sustainability of the center.
The goal is clear: Mostar as a recognizable regional hub for the gaming industry a city where knowledge, creativity, and technology come together to produce real results.
