Starting tomorrow, October 9th, Mostar will become a hub for digital nomads and professionals from the coworking industry, gathering nearly 150 participants and 24 prominent speakers at the fourth edition of the Cross Border Coworking Conference: Digital Nomads Edition. Over three days of inspiring workshops, presentations, interactive sessions, and informal networking, participants will have the opportunity to explore how the region can support digital nomads and deepen their knowledge of remote work.
The program will kick off with a presentation titled “The Value of the Region,” focusing on the key advantages of the Balkans as a destination for digital nomads. This presentation will set the stage for further discussions and exchanges of experiences regarding the region’s value.
After the opening day on October 9th, where participants can connect informally and have initial meetings in the coworking space Code Hub Mostar, the main part of the conference will begin on Thursday, October 10th, at INTERA Technology Park. The program will start with welcoming remarks and a brief overview of the previous three editions of the CBCC conference.
The program will kick off with Paul Bradbury’s presentation, “The Value of the Region,” where he will discuss the key advantages of the Balkans as a destination for digital nomads. This presentation will lay the groundwork for further discussions and exchanges of experiences regarding the region’s values.
Following this, participants will have the option to choose from several parallel workshops covering a wide range of topics. The workshops will include subjects such as promoting services, successfully balancing the nomadic lifestyle with work, the legal framework for digital nomads in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro, and skill-building for maintaining focus amidst distractions.
The afternoon will feature a dynamic segment showcasing coworking spaces from the region, with an opportunity for participants to vote for the best pitch. This will be followed by a presentation of best practices in the coworking industry. The day will conclude with an exploration of Mostar, giving participants a chance to discover the city’s beauty.
The third day, Friday, October 11th, is reserved for a field trip, where participants will enjoy the natural beauty of Herzegovina and engage in informal networking. The program also includes an outdoor stand-up session, where digital nomads will share their experiences of living and working in the region through entertaining stories. The conference will wrap up with a “BBQ & chill” segment and a farewell party, providing another opportunity for networking and making new connections.
