Short description
The main goal of the CODE project was to improve the entrepreneurial environment in the cross-border area through the development of business infrastructure and support services for innovative entrepreneurial ideas. The project resulted in cooperation among research, educational, and business institutions to support small and medium enterprises with the aim of developing, strengthening, and networking ICT clusters. Furthermore, 4 coworking spaces were established, networked, and promoted in Mostar, Nikšić, Tuzla, and Zadar, and strengthening and connecting of institutions for business support were contributed to.

One of the most important results of the CODE project for INTERA Technology Park certainly is the establishment of the first coworking space in Mostar and Herzegovina. Located in the centre of the city, it is intended for all students, entrepreneurs, and anyone in search of a comfortable working atmosphere and commercial property, and with its development, INTERA TP also developed the coworking scene and community in Mostar. Through the CODE project, INTERA TP also developed a mentoring programme to support startups, within which 10 mentors from different sectors and with different expertise were trained. After the project ended, the programme continued to be a significant resource for structured support for startups within the INTERA Technology Park Business Incubator.
By organizing a series of IT-related events and trainings, developing a local IT cluster development strategy and a feasibility study for its development into a competence centre in the IT sector, the CODE project provided a significant contribution to the development of the local IT sector in Mostar. Finally, a significant opportunity was provided for networking and strengthening both own and key stakeholders' capacities during a study trip to Belgrade, the Coworking Europe Conference in Dublin, and a series of trainings and seminars.
