The video game industry has experienced significant growth in recent years, both globally and regionally. To further encourage the development of this industry in Mostar and beyond, INTERA Technology Park is organizing a meetup titled “Game Dev Ecosystem in the Region” as part of the CBC GAIN project.
About the CBC GAIN Project
The CBC GAIN project is focused on establishing and strengthening gaming centers with effective ecosystems that will contribute to the development of the gaming industry, the modernization of education, the development of infrastructure and markets, and raising awareness of the opportunities offered by the gaming sector.
What to Expect at the Meetup?
The meetup in Mostar, which will take place on April 28th, 2025, starting at 4 PM, will be opened by Vedran Šimunović, Director of INTERA Technology Park, who will present the project and the goals behind the development of the newly established Gaming Development Center in Mostar. Participants will then have the opportunity to explore the space and equipment of the Gaming Center through a guided tour and hands-on experience with the available technology – from VR gear to gaming consoles.
Industry Guests and Panel Discussion
Meetup participants will have the opportunity to hear inspiring stories and first-hand experiences. Domagoj Crnković, storywriter and game designer, will speak about his experience in developing a game dev incubator and the importance of regional cooperation in the gaming industry. Drawing from his years of work in education, mentoring, and connecting teams within the industry, he will share insights into the key steps necessary for building a strong and sustainable game development ecosystem.
Alongside him, Igor Čarapina from Rolla will share his entrepreneurial journey in video game development, while Ivan Tadić from Bajtbox will present how the YouTube community can play an important role in promoting gaming and technology.
The central part of the event will be a panel discussion on the topic “How to Develop a Strong Gaming Ecosystem in Mostar,” featuring all guest speakers and moderated by Vedran Šimunović.
Interactive Closing
The event will conclude with an open session for testing the equipment available at the Gaming Center and continued networking, offering all participants the opportunity for hands-on experience and idea exchange.
