On Wednesday, June 14, 2023, the 13th cycle of the “Moja praksa” program, organized by INTERA Technology Park for several years with the aim of providing young people with an opportunity to gain their first work experience, concluded with a ceremonial certificate award. Over 30 young individuals from the Herzegovina region embarked on their journey three months ago, and 28 of them successfully completed all the assigned tasks.
Throughout the program, participants had the opportunity to enhance their business skills through interactive training, learning about teamwork, leadership, communication, job searching, presentation, and gaining practical experience by working on specific tasks created by participating companies and organizations. The ceremonial certificate award served as an opportunity for a comprehensive review of all the accomplishments through five-minute presentations by each team. The certificate award program was complemented by introductory speeches from Vedran Šimunović, the director of INTERA Technology Park, Elmas Mujan from ITAM Services, and Marija Vukoja from the Tourism Cluster of Herzegovina, who served as mentors with whom some of the participating teams had the opportunity to collaborate during the program period. Goran Dodig, a program trainer, and Amela Brekalo, the program coordinator, also addressed the participants on behalf of the INTERA Technology Park team, expressing their satisfaction with the completed cycle and emphasizing the importance of practical experience for further professional development. The success of the program is best demonstrated by the fact that some participants had the opportunity to share good news about continuing collaborations and employment opportunities within the companies and organizations where they completed their internships during the final event.
“The ‘Moja praksa’ program has provided me with valuable experience through business skills training and practical work in teams. I had the opportunity to intern at the INTERA team, where I worked in the marketing, event management, and administration departments, gaining insight into the importance of teamwork and quality communication necessary for efficient task completion. Thanks to this program, I have acquired essential knowledge for my future career and feel prepared for the challenges that lie ahead. I would like to express my gratitude to the mentors and organizers for their selfless knowledge sharing and this incredible experience,” Nikolina Savić, a participant of this year’s cycle reflected on her experience.
The realization of this cycle of INTERA Technology Park would not have been possible without the companies and organizations that selflessly shared their knowledge and experiences with the interns during the previous period. Therefore, special thanks go to Alfa Therm, Bim Arch, INTIS Engineering, ITAM Services, Logika, Port8, FIRIO, the Tourism Cluster of Herzegovina, The Right Street Digital, the Association for Cooperation and Development SARA, and TUZLA – FARM.
