The gaming industry is one of the fastest-growing creative industries in the world, extending far beyond the boundaries of entertainment. With the rapid advancement of technologies such as virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), blockchain, and artificial intelligence, gaming is becoming a key sector for innovation, employment, and the development of digital skills. The gaming industry fosters the development of software and hardware solutions, creative content, and opens up opportunities for entrepreneurs, developers, and creators from all over the world.
In order to promote the development of the gaming industry in the region, INTERA Technology Park is organizing a conference titled “Gaming for New Generations: Opening New Opportunities for the Development of the Gaming Industry in the Region,” which will take place on November 5, 2024, at the Code Hub coworking space in Mostar.
This conference also serves as the official presentation of the project “Investing in the Future: Gaming for New Generations CBC GAIN,” through which a Gaming Development Center will be established in Mostar. The project began implementation on August 15, 2024, with the leading partner being the Development Agency of the Sisak-Moslavina County, SI-MO-RA d.o.o. Project partners, along with INTERA Technology Park, include ICT Cortex – ICT Cluster for Information Technologies from Montenegro, and the project lasts for two years. The GAIN project aims to strengthen the local gaming scene, provide young developers and creatives access to necessary resources, and create opportunities for collaboration between businesses, institutions, and organizations in the region.
The conference will be an opportunity for the general public to learn about the key steps of the project, as well as to stimulate discussion on the possibilities for further development of the gaming industry in Mostar and beyond. Through panel discussions and presentations, participants will explore how to attract investments, enhance technological and creative capacities, and connect the industry with the educational sector.
Participation in the conference is free, and all interested parties can secure their place by registering via the link. Due to limited seating, we encourage you to register as early as possible to ensure your participation. The registration deadline is November 4, 2024.
The project is co-financed by funds from the European Union through the Interreg VI-A IPA Program Croatia – Bosnia and Herzegovina – Montenegro 2021-2027.
