Kick-off Conference of the CODES Project: The Role of Startup Ecosystems, Innovation Labs, and Coworking Spaces in Regional Development

INTERA Technology Park proudly announces the kick-off conference for the CODES (Cooperation for Development of Cross-Border Business Environment Strengthened) project, taking place on Friday, November 22, 2024, at 10:00 AM at Code Hub Mostar.

The conference will introduce the core activities of the CODES project, which offers numerous opportunities for innovators, startups, and the coworking community. Participants will learn how to engage and leverage available resources to develop their ideas and businesses.

A regional program for innovators will be presented, providing free access to the resources of INTERA TP’s iLab, as well as labs in partner cities—Tuzla, Nikšić, and Zadar. This program offers comprehensive support for developing new ideas and prototypes through expert mentorship and state-of-the-art equipment.

For startups, the CODES project is preparing a regional pre-acceleration program with full mentoring support, designed to assist startups in critical stages of development. Top teams from all three countries will have the opportunity to attend the renowned PODIM conference, one of Europe’s largest startup conferences, opening doors for further growth and development.

The coworking community will also be well supported—alongside the enhancement of the Code Hub network, we will discuss the latest IT trends through meetups and training sessions. Additionally, a user exchange program is planned for both current and future Code Hub members in Mostar, Tuzla, Nikšić, and Zadar. This program will allow coworkers to work from other cities, discover local communities, and connect with professionals of similar backgrounds.

During the conference, representatives of partner organizations and experts relevant to the startup and innovation ecosystem and the coworking industry will engage in three panel discussions. They will explore the current state of these topics and discuss the contributions of the CODES project toward further improvements.

As the lead partner, INTERA Technology Park is implementing the CODES project together with partners Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center Tehnopolis from Nikšić, BIT Center from Tuzla, the University of Zadar, and the City of Zadar. The CODES project is a successful continuation of cooperation between these partners, following the CODE and 2CODE projects, which laid the foundation for regional collaboration and innovation. This project extends and expands the positive impact on the business environment and communities in the region, co-financed by the European Union through the Interreg VI-A IPA Program Croatia – Bosnia and Herzegovina – Montenegro 2021–2027.
