Conference “Building a Sustainable Future for the Western Balkans” at INTERA Technology Park

INTERA Technology Park will host a unique business event focusing on renewable energy sources and environmental protection, titled the “POWER OF SUSTAINABILITY 2023” FESTIVAL. This exceptional festival will be held from September 21 to 22, 2023, organized by the Foreign Investors Council in Bosnia and Herzegovina and INTERA Technology Park, under the patronage of the City of Mostar and the Ministry of Environment and Tourism of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. This year’s gathering aims to connect the regional business community and promote our region as a unique investment and tourist destination.

Under the theme “Building a Sustainable Future for the Western Balkans,” the festival is also the first of its kind business event to be held in Bosnia and Herzegovina. With a diverse program, participants will have the opportunity to hear from very interesting speakers from the Western Balkans region (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Montenegro, and Serbia).

On the first day of the conference, speakers will present key topics such as the green agenda of the Western Balkans (promoting initiatives for investment in renewable energy sources, the role of regulators and legislators, experiences of private investors, financing methods for projects and return on investment, etc.), the circular economy model related to waste management, successful examples of companies related to renewal and environmental protection, pollution reduction, topics related to electromobility and the future of transportation and CO2 emission reduction. On the second day of the conference, which will take place in the natural environment of Herzegovina, at Hutovo Blato, topics related to sustainable tourism development in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the region will be discussed, providing participants with inspiration and the opportunity to explore the natural beauty of this area by riding electric boats.
