Short description
The general goal of the project was to increase the competitiveness, innovation, digital and technological capacities of SMEs. The BITNET consortium offered continuous support in the field of innovation, digitization, internationalization as well as greater involvement in Horizon 2020. The specific goals of the project included the creation of a coherent network of partners based on the application of the "no-wrong door" concept, improving the visibility of the network at local, regional and European levels, gaining experience in providing innovation services in order to contribute to future users of the SME instrument, and constant work on the formation of an advisory function in order to enable customized consulting for startups. Also, the capacities of SMEs for growth and innovation were improved in order to provide them with adequate support for international competitiveness and to develop cooperation with other stakeholders and other European networks and initiatives. In addition, the "Single Digital Gateway" service was promoted as well as various EU funding opportunities, and SMEs were advised how to use existing EU resources and opportunities. Finally, SMEs were provided with support in the field of internationalization, and contribution was made to EU policies and the legal framework through feedback from local SMEs, as well as strengthening the network in general in order to maintain continuous connections with other members.
