The video game industry has been considered one of the most promising industries in the world for years. Although this industry is still in its infancy in Bosnia and Herzegovina, it is gaining more and more importance and its potential is being recognized more and more often.
The current state and potential of the video game industry in Bosnia and Herzegovina will be discussed at Code Hub Mostar on Tuesday, September 19, 2023. starting at 2 pm at the presentation of the study “Analysis of the video game industry in BiH – current state and challenges” organized by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH and INTERA Technology Park.
The event will begin with the presentation of a study that offers a detailed overview of the current situation and the development potential of the BH video game industry, an analysis of the overall environment in which it is developing, and specific recommendations aimed at creating assumptions for the smooth growth of this potentially significant economic sector. The study will be presented by its authors – Professor Belma Ramić-Brkić and Professor Bojan Mijatović from the SSST University of Sarajevo and the Faculty of Game Design and Development. The presentation part will be followed by a panel discussion that will include Mr. Jasmin Branković, Assistant Minister for Science and Technology in the Ministry of Education and Science of the FBiH, prof. Dr. Belma Ramić-Brkić, associate professor at the Faculty of Game Design and Development (SSST), Mr. Zlatko Vukšić, head of the engineering department at the company Rolla, and Mr. Vedran Šimunović, director of INTER Technology Park. They will talk with the moderator about their own vision of the video game industry in Bosnia and Herzegovina, challenges and potential for growth and development.
