On Thursday, June 13th, 2024, Code Hub in Mostar hosted a seminar titled “Gaming Industry Ecosystem and How to Support It”. This event offered support models for the gaming industry and specific recommendations for the functioning of the gaming sector (gamedev), as well as a showcase of developers’ work in the field of video game development and production.
The seminar featured a rich array of topics and engaging presentations. Josipa Bencek, one of the keynote speakers, addressed several key aspects of the gaming industry. She provided a detailed overview of the latest trends shaping the industry, including technological innovations and changes in player preferences. She discussed major challenges faced by developers and companies and proposed practical solutions. Additionally, she emphasized the importance of good organization and effective team management for success in gamedev.
Participants had the opportunity to view the video “Meet Game Development” by Kristijan Bencek, which offered a practical insight into the video game development process.
Darko Majersky covered the topic “Understanding the Video Game Development Cycle / GDD (Game Design Document),” highlighting the importance of well-documented design for successful game development. Amir Denjo discussed facing market competition, providing participants with strategies for survival and advancement in the highly competitive video game market.
Through interactive presentations, participants engaged in discussions and idea exchanges, further enriching their experience. The event also provided valuable insights and recommendations for anyone interested in the gaming industry and facilitated networking and connections with like-minded individuals.
