Representatives of INTERA Technology Park participated in the kick-off meeting of the CapTTict project held from April 3rd to 5th, 2024, in Cluj, Romania.
During the Kick-off meeting, hosted by the Cluj IT cluster and Babes-Bolyai University, the plan of project activities for the next two years was presented. Additionally, the project objectives were outlined, which include enhancing capacities for technology transfer from higher education and research institutions, leveraging the potential of European Digital Innovation Hubs (EDIH) and the European Enterprise Network (EEN) and their cross-border connectivity, and enabling access to ICT excellence in non-EU partner countries through collaboration in research and development and the development of evidence-based smart specialization strategies.
Given that organizations from the ICT, education, science, and business sectors are involved in this project, numerous practical examples were exchanged regarding the development of new technologies, innovation incentives, startups, and the sustainability process from innovation to application in production and eventual profitability. Partners also exchanged information on the preparation and implementation of smart specialization strategies (S3) in their respective countries. Bosnia and Herzegovina still does not have an adopted S3 strategy.
